London Adventures: At The Harry Potter Studio Tour + Video

The Warner Brother Studio Tour was a must for our London trip. Luckily all four of us were in for this rather expensive experience, but it was worth every penny! We even booked a special event with including a tour of the studios, dinner & a butterbeer and a movie snack for a special screening of the 6th movie in the studio's very own cinema.
Luckily we got there early and the line wasn't too long, so we could start our adventure right away!
The first hall we entered had a bunch of small screens all around the room telling us a little about the studios, then we were being led into the cinema where we watched a small movie with Emma, Daniel and Rupert telling us about how they spent a lot of their childhood in these very studios and that all the movie magic is hidden in the halls we were about to enter. At the end of this movie the screen went up reveling the huge wooden door of the Great Hall. And what was behind the door? The Great Hall of course! Very very impressive to be standing in that hall. If you're interested in seeing more of it check out the video at the end of this post.

The rest of the exhibit was just as impressive. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves:

*fun fact about the painting on the right: It's a painting of the young Minerva McGonagall hanging in the Gryffindor common room.

*Funny how much emotion can be in a gesture! I think you can tell eaxctly how Lucius Malfoy feels in this scene. One of the worst scenes in the movies for me, emotionally!

Wow, I hope I didn't scare you off with the amount of pictures, believe me, this is about a fifth of the picture I took.
We spent about three hours in the studios, but we could have stayed for another two and still have not seen everything. If you go there plan for at least 4 hours of just looking around! I think this is an absolute must for Harry Potter fans, if you are visiting London! I will definitely go again someday and take a lot more time with me.
I took a couple of videos around the exhibit and made them into a Follow me Around:
After a quick stop in the gift store we grabbed our movie snacks and headed back into the cinema where our experience started and watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I. It was kind of weird to see a couple of the things on the movie screen that I had just seen in real life, but it made the whole experience just that much more rewarding.
Super excited and a little sad we headed back to London on the HP Studio Tour bus. It's no knight bus, but still pretty cool ;)
