Picturesque Month ~ 06'16

~California Pops before going to see 5 Seconds of Summer. Teenage me would have been really into those cuties! 3/5 Bazooka Points for feeling old having to wear earplugs because of screaming girls.
~Summer at Tegeler See. Hung out on my brother's boat a couple of times. Sadly I lost my sunglasses going Stand up Paddling there...
~ Astrid S played a special showcase in our entrance hall at work. 4/5 Bazooka Points for a wonderful acoustic experience.

~ Whenever I take my bike to work I go past this building that looks like its flipping me off. And I always have to think about Rob from my favorite Youtube channel Threadbanger.
~I have gathered a bunch of fabrics over the time and it's always diffcult to choose a favorite for a new project!
~ Finally had my bat and cupcake tattoo revived with some new ink. One of my best lady friends Sonja got me these tattoos 7 years ago in her living room. Now she's got her own tattoo place and a lot more experience and I'm thrilled about my colourful back decoration. When's the next appointment?

~ Beautiful view out of my office window - double rainbow <3
~ I was once again invited to a blogger event at the Dawanda Snuggery. It was summer themed and they had the most beautiful decoration set up by dear Lu and her colleagues. The food was amazing as usual and we made cute felt and faux leather brooches.

~ We have these awesome swings in our entrance hall, so when I get a visit at work we can swing together!
~ Finally got my What we do in the Shadows kickstarter reward <3
~ I got a bunch of rhubarb from our local foodsharing station, so I decided to make a pie and I turned the leftovers into syrup. So delicious!

~ Love for the birthday girl!
~ I took my birthday week off to enjoy some quality time at home, just for getting shit done mostly.
~ The husband made me my very own wand for my birthday! I love it! So pretty.

~ The husband loves vietnamese food so much, he wants to make sweet sweet love to it!
~ I got mail! Kawaii japanese candy mail! Loved the matcha Kit Kat!
~ Ramen!

~ Fun happy beach times!

~ Dramatic wall art.
~ Pretty wall art.
~ Pretty birthday card!

~ For my birthday we went on a boat trip through the Spreewald. It was so pretty!
~ Such an idyllic scene!
~ It's official. I'm too dumb to walk down the stairs. Sprained my ankle on our 2nd wedding anniversary... good thing it wasn't anything more serious, but still...

Picturesque Month ~ 06'15

~ Started the month with a smoothie challenge where I exchanged one meal a day with a green smoothie. Due to the fact that I don't own a great blender the smoothies weren't that smooth and especially when you're using greens it's important that they are well blended. I still liked the challenge and it was an experience for my tastebuds.
~ My favorite movie of the last year finally came out on DVD: What We Do In The Shadows
If you haven't seen it already, shame on you! No kidding, it's awesome. If you're even remotely interested in vampire movies you have to see this mockumentary.
~ If you're travelling by bike in Berlin: wear a helmet and carry a coffin in your baggage rack. People seem to respect you more on the street ;)

~ AT-AT loves Smoothies, too.
~ Enjoying the open water on my brothers boat.
~ I made a Fascinator!

~ June is pretty much my favorite month because it's my birthday in June. The husband got me a Count Duckula T-Shirt and a coffee cup!
~ Then we went to our first ever house viewing. Exciting! Too bad there was way too much work to put into the house to make it liveable. Afterwards we had a vegan döner.
~ Bowling fun with the girls! I didn't feel like throwing a big party and this was a really fun idea.

~ A colleague came back from her world travel and brought me back a thrifted little jar from ´New Zealand.
~ I had my first proper artichoke at the going away dinner of another colleague at White Trash Fast Food. It was such a mess!
~ June is not only my birthday month, but now also our anniversary month. We celebrated by taking a Minication to a castle close to Berlin doing lots of walking, relaxing & eating.

~So many concerts in June! Saw the X Ambassadors at a mini showcase at our office.
~ Eagles of Death Metal! It was so metal that the husband got a nose bleed ;P

~ Snoffeltoffs! Weird exberliner Gig at So36, but the guys rocked it as usual 4/5 Bazooka Points
~ Larkin Poe did a showcase on our offices rooftop. So cool! Both the location and the band. Can't wait to see more of them in the future. 5/5 Bazoka Points
~ I became a rockstar myself! Just for a second at least. Celebrating the "new" Rolling Stones record with a hashtag campaign #stickyfingers

Picturesque Month ~ 10'14

~ In October you go to Oktoberfest, right? No! Not if you live anywhere outside of Munich. Also Oktoberfest usually takes place end of September...
~ Beautiful view out of my office.
~ Enjoying the last few sunny days.

~ Yay for overpriced antique flea markets on the Museumsinsel.
~ But there are some fancy schmancy stores around there where you can buy all kinds of high priced kitsch like this giant bear. That would sit nicely in our living room!
~ I was too dumb to ride a bicycle this month. No, actually someone jumped in front of my bike and I breaked and flew over the handlebar right on my head, but everything's fine! Got really lucky.

~ The husband and I spend Germany unity day at my Dad's house chopping wood, so productive!
~ I was also working on my Weasley Family Clock.

Our local hardware store offers a Women's Week every now and then with various workshops. I got lucky to get a place in two workshops (actually three, but I conveniently fell on my head right on the way to that one.) The first workshop was about getting your plants ready for winter. I chose a black currant plant and named it Joe and now Joe is ready for winter and sitting on my balcony!

The second workshop was about decorative wall design and the various techniques you can use to make your wall look more pretty like stenciling and swiping and other interesting things. Yeah... I don't really paint my walls, I like posters and pictures...

I went to the premiere of Jemaine Clement's new film What We Do In The Shadows, I dare you to watch the trailer without laughing out loud! Got to meet one half of my favorite comedy folk duo Flight of the Conchords and also the hilarious Taika Waititi, co-director of the movie. It was one of the best nights this year (you know, next to my wedding and stuff) with loads of laughter. Even though they screened the movie in German it was still hilarious and my friends all loved it. Jemaine and Taika were there before and after the movie for an introduction and a Q&A (I asked the obvious question that they must have heard before whether it was true that they improvised a lot of the scenes to which they replied, why would they, it's a documentary, it's all true *wink*.). They also hung out for a while at the aftershow party. There was free booze and everything. So fun!

Next day there was another event at a different movie theatre where they showed the film in English. This time they had a costume contest and since people are too lazy to dress up I had to to win the prize.. and I did. Jemaine handed me a bottle of New Zealand wine after convincing him I had the best costume because of my bat tattoo. Yes, I'm that desperate ;)

~The husband and i went out to eat sushi. No, we didn't finish this humungous amount of sushi.
~ Then we went on to see a man do gay cabaret.
~ And he was followed by the hilarious Daniel Sloss. 4/5 Bazooka Points for doing a comedy show in humourless Germany (or that's what we're told).
