being a kindergarten teacher the future husband has plenty of experience with paper crafts, so when I asked him to craft me some paper bats for the windows he was all in.
So he cut out the bats he drew from memory and I put then on our windows with tape.

This is it! My 12 Days of Halloween. I slacke off a little on the middle, but it all came together in the end. And since Halloween was on a thursday with year I'd say that today is still part of this Halloween weekend. I hope you enjoyed my little Blogstravaganza.

Ther future husband make these cookies for our gamenight with some friends last thursday. He used this recipe for sugar cookies. Then I cut ou a bunch of batman cookies with our 3D printed cookie cutter. We added some M&Ms and Skittles to get some fun on the old bats.


We left a few of these cookies in for a bit too long, so some are a little more dark knight than others, but they were still yummy.

12 Days of Halloween ~ 9 Infected Syringes

On the ninth day of Halloween my true love gave to me:

I bought 50 syringes on amazon (for pretty cheaps) to bring some more pizzazz to our Halloween party. I had planned to fill them with some sort of red liqour, but I had some bad experiences with cherry liqour and bloodorange vodka so we just coloured some of our vodka with raspberry syrup and filled up a bunch of syringes.

Of course I forgot to take pictures at the party again, so I made some more with white whine for our gamenight with some friends (there was still vodka left over, but I should probably lay off that for a while).
The blood looks a little thin, but it was still yummylicious. We had a vampire at the party and he said so too!

On the eighth day of Halloween my true love gave to me:

Besides food and drinks I only bought two things for Halloween decoration. Syringes for Day No.9 and test tubes. I found both of these items on amazon and got a set of 100 test tubes and stoppers and 50 syringes for some boozy party fun. Here's what I did:

I filled about 20 test tubes with fizzy powder and another 20 with some good vodka.


To get the chemistry experiment effect you add the vodka to the fizzy powder.

Now try not to let it overflow and make a mess everywhere!

12 Days of Halloween ~ 7 Deadly Sins Punch

On the seventh day of Halloween my true love gave to me:

And a 7 Deadly Sins Punch

Punch is my favorite party drink. For our Halloween party I used some homemade plum and pear preserves form my parents garden and the only canned fruit I had at home at that time: lychees. Fortunatly the lychees also fit the Halloween theme as they look like eyeballs floating in a bloody pit.
I used all the fruit juice with with 1 litre of wine and 1 1/2 litres of sparkling water. Usually I would have used sparkling wine instead, but I forgot to get some at the grocery store when we got all the supplies for our party (as well as other fruit).
The punch was still a success and was gone within like 2 hours.

12 Days of Halloween ~ 6 6 6 Devilish Dips

On the sixth day of Halloween my true love gave to me:

1 Hounted Castle
A 2 Faced Suit
A 3 Eyed Carved Pumpkin
4 Spooky Spiderwebs
5(0) Shades of Orange
And 6 6 6 Devilish Dips

That's not even true. It's only 2 Dips I made... and the photos I took didn't turn out very well at all so you get an old instagram picture from one of our game nights.

Hummus
200g cooked chick peas
30g dark tahini paste
1tbs lemon juice
1/2ts ground cumin
1/ts sea salt
40ml water

Throw all ingredients in a mixer/food processor and you're done!

Artichoke-Cashew-Creme
150g antipasti artichokes in oil
40g dried tomatoes in oil
240g cashews or cashew paste
70ml water
black pepper as needed

Throw all ingredients together again. Wroom wroooom. You got a lovely dip.

Serve both chips with corn chips or bread or veggie sticks. Whatever floats your boat.
